Today I went to Weight Watchers in Logan. Last week I decided I need a change in pace and something to motivate me to stay on track and track what I eat. The instructor at the Logan center is really good and has a lot of energy and enthusiasm, which is exactly what I need. I think this is going to be a great Saturday morning routine for me. The meeting starts at 9:00 and then I go do my grocery shopping. Today I went to Sam's, Walmart, and Maceys and was home by about noon. I told Maisie that if she got her chores done I would take her back into town to get her school supplies. Well it turned into more of a shopping day. Parker decided to stay home and play while Eric was sleeping. It was nice to go out and spend time with Maisie. She really enjoyed shopping and just being with her mamma. It made me realize how much this kind of time means to her.
I told her up front she had $100 to spend on school clothes. I had to remind her that I spent $100 last month on clothes. At first she was mad, but then I could see her strategically planning what she could get and how she was going to spend this $100. I am for sure going to do this from now on. It makes her get only the things she really wants and is teaching her a good lesson.
We got her school supplies at Walmart and then she tried on a couple of outfits and shoes. Then we decided to go to Payless to look at there shoes. She then informed me that she couldn't decide on the shoes without the right pair of pants, so we headed to Old Navy to pick up a pair of skinny jeans, but on the way we got distracted and stopped at Chugz to get a drink, well there soda machine was temporarily not working for a second, so we went to Twizlberry and got a small frozen yogurt while we waited for our soda. We also walked through Plato's closet, were she decided she could get some really cute clothes for really cheap, so we have to go back there. Then back to Payless to try on shoes. After trying on lots of shoes, she ended up getting a pair of blue and white slip-ons and some silver flip flops. Then we rushed home to cook dinner for Eric before he had to go to work. We had a lot of fun shopping and spending time together and she is looking forward to going shopping at Gordman's in Ogden later this week with her cousin Madison.
Later, I went for a walk with Giselle, my walking buddy, and then enjoyed an episode of Glee with the kids before heading to bed.

Parker Attends Lego Robotic Camp
I signed Parker up for a Lego Robotic Camp. He was so excited to get to play with Lego's. He loves anything Lego's. The first day they built a alligator and hooked up to the computer and it's mouth would move. The second day they got to build what they wanted. He built a helicopter with guns. He was so proud and wished he could do this at home.

July 26, 2014
We had contemplated making a quick camping trip, but then decided not to cause we thought it would be a crazy weekend because of the 24th. We decided to just go for a nice leisurely drive up the mountain. Sallie, Jerry, and his friend Tristan came with us. We packed dinner, chairs, and wood so we could have a fire. We started up Hyrum canyon and worked our way over to our usually camping place at Temple Peak. We decided the next time we go camping we are going to try Temple Flat. It is a big open area where a lot of campers go.
We enjoyed a nice dinner and fire and then headed home about 9:00. I got to drive home and I hate driving in the dark. We did make it home safely. It was a great Saturday.

July 24th - BRC Celebration
We could not miss out on the annual Bear River City 24th of July celebration. Eric had to work, so me and the kids went over on the 23rd and went to the movie in the park, Goonies. I was so tired, that I had a really hard time staying awake. We then went to my parents house and stayed the night since I was running the 5k in the morning. At 2:00 a.m. we were awoken from the fire alarm. I opened the bedroom door and did see or smell anything, so I wasn't too worried. My dad then came downstairs trying to figure out why the alarm went off. He walked around for awhile and couldn't figure out what had happened. He started to wonder if it was the carbon monoxide detector, which then freaked me out. We finally sort-of went to sleep. I didn't get very good sleep that night. I was too worried that we might not wake up. I got up at 5:45 to get ready for the race. Maisie wanted to go with me, but I talked her into staying in bed. I knew it would be a long rough day if she got up. She needs her beauty sleep.
The race was a rough one with no energy. I ended up getting 31:50, which wasn't too bad. I was pleased with that time. Then those of us that ran in the race went over to the park for breakfast. After breakfast, I went back and got Maisie out of bed so she could help hand out creamies for Country Archers Market in the parade.
The rest of the day we just hung out at the park and watched the baby show and auction. After the auction, I volunteered to take baby Lincoln back to my parents for a nap. I was dying for a nap. I laid down for a couple of hours and felt much better when I got up. We then had a little BBQ at my mom's and the kids swam. Me and the kids left about 9:00 to come home because I had to work on Friday. We had a great day and it is always fun to have traditions.

First Camping Trip in Trailer
We finally got to take our new trailer out. It was exciting and nerve racking at the same time. Getting used to something different always has it's ups and downs. Eric and Parker decided to head up the canyon Friday morning when Eric got off work. Maisie and her friend Emma, who came with us, waited until I got off work and then we headed up the canyon. Eric had called me early in the afternoon and informed me that he had ripped off the back jack when he was pulling into the campsite. First time out and he already broke my trailer. I ran by Gordon's and picked up a jack, that ended up being the wrong one and not working. Oh well. Me and the girls got up there about 7 we fixed dinner and than just hung out. We were all kind of tired, so we didn't do much Friday night. Saturday morning we slept in and as we were preparing breakfast the kids went for a bike ride down the road a little bit and came back and said my good friend, Michelle, was camping at the end of the road. I knew she was going to be camping this weekend but she was going to try and get a site at Bear Lake. Well I guess late Friday night, they ended up camping by us. It was so dark that they didn't know exactly where we were. She had already been down to the health clinic that morning cause her daughter ended up cutting her leg with the hatchet.
Sallie and Jerry came up about 1:00 to visit for the day. The boys shot their guns and had a great time blowing stuff up. We fixed pork chops and beans and potatoes for dinner and then visited around the fire.
Sunday, we took our time getting up and fixing breakfast and then later ended up going down to Bear Lake for a shake. That evening Michelle and her kids and hubby came and hung out at our fire. We had a really good time and decided they needed to come camping with us more often.
Monday we left about noon to head home. We decided we would run by Gordon's on the way home and drop off the jack and order the right one. We also wanted to ask them about our awning because it was having a hard time retracting back in when we would live it out for long periods of time.
Backing the trailer into the driveway was stressful, but Eric did finally get it in after almost taking out the house and Maisie. It is going to take awhile to get used to, but I know it will get easier to maneuver.

4th of July
Me and the kids had a fun 4th of July weekend filled with friends, family, and BBQ's. It started Friday, July 4th. I got up and went walking with my friend, Giselle. We walked 7 miles. When I got home I laid down for a little bit, and then we got ready to go to the Hyrum parade at my good friend, Michelle's. She lives on main street in Hyrum and it has been tradition for many years in her family to invite family and friends for a pot luck BBQ luncheon. We watch the parade and then eat lunch. I talked the kids into riding our bikes to 4.5 miles to Hyrum. We made it, but it took longer than I thought and we missed most of the parade. Oh well. Apparently it's a gradual hill the whole way. We had to take a few breaks on the way and by the time we got there, Parker was done. He barely made it the last block. Once we got there he was happy camper. We stayed for a couple of hours and then headed home. Going home was a breeze. It took us half the time and made it home in about 35 minutes. I was exhausted by this time and had to lay on the floor for a bit and then got up the energy to get ready for the next BBQ at my parent's. We didn't get over there until about 5:00. The kids swam in the pool and we enjoyed a light BBQ and hung out. Shanna and her kids were there for a little bit and then Jarom and Launa's little family and my Grandparent's Hendrickson were there. It was good visiting with them. The kids did sparklers and then we headed home.
Saturday, July 5th I woke up early and Giselle and I ran/walked/hiked 6 miles up towards Millville. I stayed up way too late the night before so this run was hard. When I got home I was so tired I had to lay back down for about an hour. The rest of the day I had very little energy and had to lay back down again in the afternoon. Regina invited us over for BBQ at 6:30. We had a great time visiting with friends that we haven't seen in a long time. Now that the kids don't go to daycare at her house we hardly see them any more. It was really fun to visit with them. They shot off some fireworks for the kids. Then we went home and I crashed. I slept in the next morning and took it easy.
Sunday, July 6th we spent the day doing laundry and cleaning the house. Just our usual Sunday.
Monday, July 7th, I had to take Parker to Primary Children's for his annual visit with his metabolic Dr. He was such a trooper and did great. He was making jokes and the Dr. teased him and said she was writing on his papers that he is a "goofball." We got his labs taken and he was one tough boy. He watched them draw blood and didn't cry a tear. He was more worried about getting his toy car afterwards, which they forgot to offer him and so I promised him I would take him to get one. We went to Bountiful and ate at McDonald's and went to Shopko for his car and then went to Costco for a few things and then headed home. We were home by about 3:00. Maisie stayed home and hung out with her friend, Emma. She is growing up so fast and wants to hang out with friends all the time.

July 1, 2014
It is so hard to believe it is already July. The summer is flying by and the year is half over. We have been super busy. The kids were with my parents last week at the cabin. The house was very quiet, but it was nice to have some alone time with just me and Eric. There have only be one or two times that we have ever been apart from our kids. Not even to go to the movies. We tend to not do things without our kids.
Friday, June 27th we worked on pulling everything out of the trailer to get ready for the new one. We are getting really excited to get it. We are suppose to pick it up on July 8th. It was a really hard decision, but it is what we love to do. We have to look at it as an investment in our vacations and memories. The kids are really excited too. Afterwards, we went over to Sallie's and visited for a bit. We didn't stay long cause I needed to get to bed, so I could wake up at 5 to go running with Giselle. We ran 5 miles, the longest I have ever ran and I did it and it wasn't so bad. We are hoping to do the Top of Utah half marathon in August. I am a little nervous, but excited at the same time. Probably a little crazy too.
Saturday, June 28th, I took my Psychology quiz and worked on a little homework and then we went to town. Sallie and Jerry came with us and we showed them our new trailer. They loved it and are so excited for us. When I got home I made beer bread and a salad for a BBQ with Sallie and Jerry. We had a great time visiting and enjoying each others company. By 10:00 I was so tired. I can't stay up late any more now that I get up most mornings at 5:15. Maisie had called me earlier and they were leaving Richfield at about 7:30. Since they were getting home so late, I told her I would pick her up at grandma's first thing in the morning. She was ready to come home and a little home sick.
Sunday, June 29th, I woke up at 7:30 and headed over to my parents to get the kids. My dad cooked waffles and then we headed back home. It was so good to see them and nice to have the chaos back in the house. I spent most of the day doing laundry and homework. I am a little stressed right now with my English class. This research paper is just stressing me out. I am not a writer and so it is very hard for me to formulate a paper. I will get through it one way or another. I told the kids I would take them swimming since they were gone for so long. Maisie called her friend, Siena, and we met her at the pool at 2:00. I thought we would only be there til 4:00, but the kids were not ready to leave. Parker wanted to go Transformers 4 with Eric, so I ran him home at 4:00 and then went back and picked up Maisie. Maisie and I went to Subway for dinner and I happen to lock my keys in the car. I have a really bad habit of locking the car with the door instead of my keys, so if I happen to be doing something before getting out of the car, I sometimes set them down and then forget to pick them back up. Thank goodness for AAA. We had to wait for an hour for someone to come let us in the car. Afterwards, we went to Kohl's and Maisie was in heaven trying on a bunch of clothes. She ended up getting a couple of outfits for school. She just is so fashionable and loves clothes. Then we went to Walmart for a few things and then headed home. Eric and Parker were already home and they told us they loved the movie and were so glad they went.
