Muzzle Loader Elk Hunt/Halloween

October 28th - Eric worked the weekend on grave yards and was off for almost 2 weeks for the muzzle loader elk hunt. He left Tuesday, October 28th and headed over to my dad's to help them get ready. They went to their usual hunting spot up Causey. They have such a great time spending time together. Eric was gone until Wednesday, November 5th. It felt like forever. Having no contact with him was the hardest. I felt like a single mom. Me and the kids got sick and didn't do a whole lot. We realized Eric is the "glue" keeps us together and running smoothly. It seems like every year while he is hunting we get sick. It was so nice to have him home.

For Halloween I left work a little early so that we would have time to make it over to Bear River City's trunk-or-treat. It was really nice having Halloween on a Friday this year. We didn't have to worry about getting home early to go to school and work the next day. The kids had a great time trick-or-treating and spending time with their cousins.

Eric hunting

Sunday, October 26th we decided to go hunting as a family. We woke up early and headed up Logan Canyon. We were on the mountain before any one that was camping got up. We didn't see much, just a few doe's. It was still fun getting out and enjoying time with the family.

16th Anniversary

It took a lot of reminders for Eric to realize that today was our 16th Anniversary. Eric has been off this whole week hunting for deer. He went hunting during the day and then when I got home we went to the movie Gone Girl. It was an okay movie, but a little crazy. Parker also had his last day of swimming lessons. He didn't pass level 4, but he is doing really well. He is so young to be in level 4 that I am sure he will have to repeat it a couple of times.

I can not believe that Eric and I have been married 16 years. Time goes by so fast when you love the one you're with. I couldn't ask for a better husband and father to my children.  Thanks for being so awesome and supportive.

Work off

I took Friday, October 17th and Monday, October 20th off work.  The kids were out of school and I had a lot of homework to catch up on. I studied lots for math test. I took it on Tuesday and felt so good about it, but made some minor mistakes and got a 70%. I was very bummed, but thank goodness my instructor gave me partial credit on some and I ended up with an 81%. I think I was more upset because this was one test that I felt like I was the most prepared for. The semester is half over. Yea!!!

Last Camping Trip

October 3, 2014 - Parker didn't have school today, so I decided to take the day off of work and get some homework done before going camping. Maisie got out of school at 12:55, so when she got home we packed up a few last minute things and then headed out. We decided to go camping up by Hardware Ranch. It's a little bit lower than our usual spot up Logan canyon. I was hoping that being a little lower wouldn't be as cold. It wasn't too bad. We were amazed by how many campers there were. Most of them were hunting. As we were setting up camp, I walked into the trailer and noticed a huge chunk of the linoleum had been torn. Apparently a battery got stuck under the slide-out and as we opened it, it ripped the linoleum up. I was completely sick about it. It just sucks being a brand new trailer. Hopefully, we can get it repaired.

Saturday morning we were all lazy. Maisie and Parker played in the trailer, I laid on the couch and read my book, and Eric ended up taking a nap. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. It was Sallie, Jerry, and his friend Tristan. They decided to come visit us for a few hours. It is always nice when people come to visit. The kids and boys played football for awhile. The didn't stay too late, because they brought up the Bronco without it's top and didn't want to drive home in the dark and cold.

Sunday, we got up and fixed breakfast and then got ready to come home. We took everything out of the trailer to get ready to winterize it. Kind of sad it's our last trip of the year, but at the same time it will be nice to have my weekends back and be able to get lots done. Especially homework.
