September 22, 2012 - Logan, Utah Welcomes Monster Trucks

Little did we know that monster trucks would actually come to little old Logan. We decided to take the plunge and check it out. We bought our tickets in advance for $10.00 each. Glad we pre bought them. Let's just say that we can not compare Logan's show to SLC Monster Jam or the Vegas Monster Jam Finals, but it was still pretty entertaining. There ended up only being 4 monster trucks with Destroyer being the best one. The Destroyer broke something on his truck his first time around and spent the next hour and half repairing it, so he could break it again in his final freestyle. The show ended up being more about the little Geo Tracker that raced around the track. Everyone was cheering him on for the next big jump. We were amazed at how high he could get that little thing up. For the first time coming to Logan, it wasn't too bad. 

Parker's Kindergarten Pictures

My baby is growing up. It was hard to see one chapter of Parker's life close and another one open. He is such a big boy and so ready for kindergarten. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of him.

September 7 - 9, 2012 - Parker's Birthday Party

We decided to have Parker's birthday party while we were camping. We went up Blacksmith Fork Canyon towards Hardware Ranch. There is a nice open area with several camp spots that we like to go to. Kyle & Misty and there family pulled there trailer up and stayed Friday night. My mom and dad, Shanna's family, and Sallie came up for dinner and cake and ice cream. We had a good time sitting around the fire and chatting. Parker was so excited for his birthday he could hardly stand it. From us he got a new bike, two k'nex monster jam sets, red teenage mutant ninja turtle, Grave Digger monster truck. From Sallie he got a monster truck, Raminator, from Kyle and Misty he got a blow dart gun, from grandma and grandpa he got a BB gun. What a spoiled little 6 year old. My friend Taryl made him a cool Grave Digger cake. It is fun when they start to figure out what birthday's are all about. At first he didn't want his presents before his actual birthday. He couldn't figure out why we were having his birthday party before his actual birthday. Then all day he wanted to know when he could open his presents. I can not believe that my baby is growing. He is such a fun kid to be around. He is so full of energy and loves to play. If you buy him a toy, you can bet that he will get great use out of it. My house is prime example. It's not very often that I have a clean front room. It is usually covered with monster trucks, hot wheels, blocks, dinosaurs, and what ever else his creative mind has going.

Maisie's 4th Grade Pictures

One benefit about being a photographer is taking my own kids pictures. They cooperate on occasion. Maisie wanted her pictures taken at the cabin this year. Couldn't have picked a more beautiful place. Here are a few of my favorites. I can not believe how big she is getting. Maisie is becoming a beautiful young lady. Not my little girl anymore. Love her to pieces. Hormones and all.
