April 27th

Shanna had a boutique at the Bear River City Civic Center. There were quite a few vendors with a lot of fun things. Shanna had a Scentsy booth with all her fun stuff. I hung out there for the day and then had to head to Huntsville for a photo session for my friend Sara's little boy. I haven't been to Huntsville in years it was nice to get out of my neck of the woods and go somewhere else. He was a busy boy, but a lot of fun to shoot. Two year olds you just have to go with the flow and do what they want to do.

Afterwards, I took the kids to El Matador to eat. Again a place I haven't been to probably since high school. It was very yummy.

Then we headed home. We were all tired from a long day. Didn't get home until about 10:00. Maisie and Parker are such troopers. I can drag them just about any where with me and they for the most part are really good. Only fight a little bit.

Photo Sessions

I have been so busy with photo sessions this month. It has been kind of stressful and I have learned that I am not going to take on more than a couple sessions each month. We just seem to have too much going on and I like to have the sessions edited and to the clients within a week or two. It has been good and I love doing it, but I realized I need to make time for the family. May should be much better. So far I only have one scheduled.

1st Camping trip of the year

Now that we have our trailer we are always anxious to go out for our first camping trip and are not afraid to brave the weather. We knew it was going to be a little rainy, but that didn't stop us. We went with Eric's friends from work Jace and Ashley. A couple other friends from his work came up. We decided to go up Cub River, between Franklin, ID and Preston. We camped in a parking lot because everything was so wet. We left our house when the kids got out of school at 3:15 and picked them up with the truck and trailer and then headed up there. We were the first ones there, but soon Ashley and her little girl, Gianna, arrived. It sprinkled off and on, but when Jace arrived he put up his canopy and we just stayed huddled under the canopy and put it to the edge of the fire. Other than the rain it really wasn't too cold.

We stayed up kind of late just visiting and having good time. It's just nice to enjoy the outdoors and good friends.

Saturday it rained until about 3:00 in the afternoon. We stayed in our trailers until the rain let up and then we were able to go outside. The kids couldn't wait to get on their bikes. Parker insisted that he still could ride his bike in the rain. Once he went out, he had about an inch of mud on his tires.

Later that day Eric's friend Gary and Jaren came up with their trailers. There were a few other friends that came for a little bit and then left.

Of course, because we were going home on Sunday it was the nicest day. The sun was out and no rain. We still had a great time and glad that we went. Can't wait for our next trip.

Visiting Price

Eric's sister Bridget has been trying to schedule me to take pictures of Raygon for a month. It has been hard to get our schedules to cooperate, but finally we were able to make it work. We headed down to Price after Eric got off of work Friday night. We didn't leave until about 7:45 p.m. and got to Mary's about 10:30. I hate driving at night. I am always afraid of hitting animals in the canyon. The weather was kind of temperamental and I was worried it was going to be raining for Raygon's pictures, but it worked out. She is such a cutie and has so much energy and life.

We went to the dinosaur museum and then let the kids play at the park for a little bit, before heading to Cody's.

We hung out at Cody and Lexi's in their back shop with a bunch of their friends. It was fun hanging out, socializing, and having a bbq. I can tell that Eric really misses his family and friends. Wish we could make it down there more often, but our schedule's have just become more crazy.

Birthday & Easter

Every once in awhile my birthday falls on Easter. I think this is the first year that I can remember that Eric has had to work on Easter. It was kind of sad. I just did not want to do the whole Easter thing without him. Neither did the kids. They were excited for the treats the Easter Bunny left for them. They each got a shirt, a pair of shoes, a puzzle workbook, & badmitten. Of course, lots and lots of candy. Who can resist candy? Maisie can save hers and eat only a piece or two a day. Parker can not. He would sit down and eat it all if I would let him. We have to keep his on top of the fridge and Maisie has to hide her's real well or he will go and sneak it into his room. He's pretty sneaky.

Later that day we went over to my parents for dinner. Then my mom had an easter egg hunt for the kids.

Vacation Day 8 - Driving Home

It is hard to believe that our vacation ended so quickly. We had such a great time. I wore my pedometer the whole time and we walked 35 miles in 6 days. The kids were amazing. We were exhausted and ready for a vacation from our vacation.

We had high hopes of getting up early to head home, but we slept in. We didn't leave Vegas until almost 9:00 Vegas time. It was hard going from semi-warm weather to freezing cold weather again. The first time we stopped for gas, we had to put our jackets on.

We got home about 5:00 p.m. Then it was unpacking and doing laundry time.

Vacation Day 7 - Monster Jam

We ate breakfast at Denny's again and then headed to Sam Boyd Stadium for another day of getting autographs and seeing trucks. Saturday is open to the public and we were expecting it to be a lot more crowded, but it actually wasn't bad. Friday we had gotten tickets to get Dennis Anderson's (Grave Digger driver) autograph. He is the most popular one to get and they handed out tickets. If you don't get a ticket early, you won't get his autograph.

We were there pretty much the whole day. We took a little break in the parking lot by the car and ate some snacks before heading in for the big show. Eric and Parker were in 7th heaven. They couldn't ask for a better time. Every jump, every flip, every move, is just the best thing ever. Eric has big dreams of owning one one day.

The show didn't get over until about 10:30 and we sat in the parking lot until all the cars had thinned out. By the time we got back to the hotel, it was about midnight. We were exhausted.
